Medicare:

If you obtain a GP referral under a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP), you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $98.95 per session.

The standard fee for a 45–50 minute consultation is $235. After the Medicare rebate, the out-of-pocket (gap) fee is $136.05 per session.

Full Fee:

You do not require a GP referral to attend psychology sessions. Without a Mental Health Treatment Plan, the full fee is $235 for a standard 45–50 minute appointment, which is below the National recommended fee of $330.

Concession:

A limited number of concession appointments are available for clients holding a valid government-issued healthcare card or eligible full-time student concession card. Please enquire for current availability.

What Determines the Session Rates?

Standard appointments are 45–50 minutes. In some circumstances, extended sessions may be recommended depending on clinical need and treatment goals. This will be discussed during the initial appointment.
